China Silver Mao Feng (Organic DE-ÖKO-003)

Silver Mao Feng is a high-grade Chinese green tea with a rich delicate, slightly fruity and sweet flavor with notes of dried peach and apricot, and with the nice floral base that is characteristic for the panfried Chinese green teas.

This is a really nice tea which we enjoy to drink whenever possible.  The slightly fruity notes already hit your nose when you open the bag and comes to live when the warm water is poured into the teapot.

The leaves are characterized by the long dusty dark green and silver leaves and buds.   The tea is from the Lingyun White Downy cultivar grown in Guangxi at an altitude of 800 meters and the leaves are from the spring harvest in April.

Like most green teas it is important keep an eye on the temperature (80°C.) and the steeping time (60 seconds) as it will become slightly bitter if steeped too warm or too long.
