Chinese Yixing Purple Clay Teapot 180ml.

Very fine little Yixing purple clay teapot holding 180 ml. which makes it perfect for Gongfu brewing. 

The model is known as Xi Shi 西施 or Xi Shi Ru Hu which translate to Xi Shi Breast Teapot, refering to the soft round curves of the teapot.  The model was originally made by the ceramic master Xu Youquan 徐友泉 during the Ming Dynasty.  Xi Shi refers to one of ancient China's four beauties, concubine Xi Shi.

The Yixing clay teapots are known for their ability to "breathe" which enhance the flavor over time.   You should therefore allocate a teapot to the more rich Black and Dark teas and another for the lighter Green and White teas.
