Description

High quality Japanese Matcha from Aichi prefecture, a few hours drive east of Kyoto.  

 

The Matcha is produced from the leaves of the first flush harvest (first harvest of the year).

 

It has a good umami with sweetish notes and a light bitternes.   The Matcha is perfect for Matcha Latte, icecream or cakes but can also be enjoyed pure.

 

The processed Tencha leaves are stone milled according to the old Japanese traditions which ensure a very fine powder with a particle size of 5-10 micron.  This ensure a smooth texture that dissolves well in liquid and gives a nice froth when whisked.

 

Since you will be drinking the entire leaf of the bush we have made the active decission of only selling organic Matcha.
