Japan Kurihara Superior Sencha Hime Kaori 100 Gram

Delicious first flush 2026 Hime Kaori Sencha from Kurihara Tea Farm in Yame.   The aroma is floral with a smooth balance between slightly sweet and little astringent flavors with a hint of roast.   Second steep will be slightly richer so let it steep a bit shorter.

This is a nice tea for daily consumption and to serve for guests.

Kurihara Tea Farm

Since we opened our online teahouse we have offered a selection of high quality teas from Kurihara Tea Farm.  It is a family owned tea farm in Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture in the southern part of Japan.  The tea fields are located in 300-700 meters height and cover 3 hectares.  The farm is managed by the Kurihara brothers Akio & Yuji and their Gyokuro teas are often in the top 5 in regional and national tea competions.

Cultivar:  Hime Kaori 媛かおり (translates to Princess Aroma)
