Japan Premium Gyokuro Green Tea 100 gram

This wonderful Gyokuro from Kurihara Tea farm is our best Japanese Green Tea in stock.

The tea is harvested in spring and only the 2 top leaves and the bud are used.  The leaves are medium steamed and the flavor is rich, sweet and with good umami. 

It is a one of those teas that you want to save for special occasions but end up finishing because it is so good.

Gyokuro Tea is shaded the last 3 weeks before harvest.  This allows the leaves to mature without obtaining bitterness.  The results is very delicate Green Tea with a sweet taste profile with a minimum of bitternes.
