Ordinary Hojicha is made from more mature Bancha leaves which have a less sweet flavor but the Superior Hojicha and Hojicha powder we buy from Takeo Tea Farm is made of the higher quality naturally grown Sencha leaves.   This gives a better tea with a better flavor.

This Hojicha is made of leaves from the summer harvest and have a rich and balanced nutty roast flavor.
