Japanese Dark Bamboo Chasen Matcha Whisk

Beautiful dark Japanese bamboo whisk for whisking your Matcha.   This vintage dark whisk is slightly smaller than the usual Japanese whisks that typicall has 80 "fingers" and has a bit longer handle, but it can whisk your Matcha just as well.  

The bamboo whisk is called a Chasen in Japanese (Cha 茶 = Tea and Sen 筅 = Whisk) and is cut out of one piece of bamboo.

Soak it in a cup of warm water a few minutes before use to soften the "fingers" and avoid that they break.  And ash it in warm water after use.  This will ensure your Chasen lasts for many years.
